Flying Lotus - Zodiac Shit. Beautiful animations by Lilfuchs for [Adult Swim]. Crediting him for making a lot of their bumper music. The Flying Lotus album Cosmogramma was released with a wierd bang this spring, with a whatchamacallit downloadable interactive soundscape software Cosmogramma Fieldlines, where you control the animated cover art and ambient harp samples with your web cam or mouse. I played with it and kinda liked it.. My favorite song from the album is Do The Astral Plane. Also check out his newest release Pattern+Grid World and the crazy 3d animated video for Watch Kill Your Co-Workers.

Princess Nyah - Take Control. Featuring on Donae’os Party Hard Remix and making her own version of Tinie Tempahs Pass Out and Major Lazers Pon de Floor. It’s time for the princess to step out into the limelight. Disguised in tutu and lipgloss ready, this UK funky royalty bites hard. Sometimes too much autotune or way too much. But her melodies are catchy and attitude fun. Watch out for her debut album Patience and Persistence next year. We party hard - no no cinderella.

Simply crushing Tinchys original, owning this beat for real. Video’s better too, even on a lower budget. I’ve had my eye on Mz. Bratt for a while now. Happy and ecstatic to have more talented female MCs to watch. ATTENTION! These girls will be blowing up the UK scene in 2011.

Yeah, I know, two posts on the same day… I’m so crazy. I just had to share. This tune is so sick. Haven’t been so excited since I first found Ch Ching by Lady Sovereign way back in 2004. Wow, the gritty bass and funny rhymes just blew my mind. I know she hasn’t been in the game for some time (Jigsaw was a bit boring), but I still hope you’ll be back with new stuff soon, hon.

Carte Blanche is Ed Bangers DJ Mehdi and english house DJ Riton. Their Black Billionaires EP was released yesterday!

Shy FX - Raver (feat. Kano, Donaeo & Roses Gabor). Drum and bass legend @ShyFX samples dub icon Scientist in new club banger. The sample is taken from “Seconds Away”, the opening track on Scientists wonderful album “Heavyweight Dub Champion” from 1980. Happy to see Shy FX blowing up in the club scene again!

Tigarah - Roppongi Dori. My favorite from japanese baile funk/funk carioca artist Tigarah. Beats by Mr. D. Her song Girl Fight reached the world in 2006 by featuring in videogames (Need For Speed: Carbon and FIFA 7). Girl Fight and Roppongi-Dori is from the Tigarah EP (2006).

I finally got my hands on Tigarahs newest album The Funkeira goes BANG! (2009). Only released in japan and I don’t understand japanese webshops, hihi. 50 / 50 new fresh songs - old songs / remixes. Highlight is “Where You Headed For?” with Deize Tigrona. European and american release has been rumored for years. According to FB she’s in the studio. Exciting!
